XYOUNGSTOWN -- St. Christine Church was the setting at 2 p.m. May 21 as Michelle Marie Matun and Michael Paul Garbera, both of Hudson, were united in marriage by the Rev. David Weikart.
After a reception at Mr. Anthony's in Boardman, the couple left on a wedding trip to Paradise Island.
The daughter of Thomas and Karen Matun of Columbiana and the son of Paul and Joyce Garbera of Moon Township, Pa., live in Hudson.
The bride wore a strapless gown of ivory satin trimmed with crystal and pearl beading on the bodice.
Camel-colored silk, strapless dresses were worn by the honor attendant, Debra Bish, sister of the bride, and the bridesmaids, Anne Marie Begley, Beth Antonoplos and Nicole Kral. The bride's niece's, Anna and Molly Matun, were flower girls.
William Jander was best man and groomsmen were Michael Owens, John Prestegiacomo, Joseph Nowak and Michael Gildea. The bride's nephews, Nicholas and Matthew Bish, were ring bearers.
The bride is a graduate of Miami University, Oxford, with a bachelor's degree in microbiology. She is an area account manager for Trek Diagnostic Systems in Cleveland.
The groom holds a bachelor's degree in marketing-logistics from John Carroll University, University Heights, and a master's in business administration from Lake Erie College, Painesville. He is analyst with Progressive Insurance in Mayfield Heights.
