MEN'S TOP 25 Notre Dame upsets No. 19 UConn, 78-74

Oklahoma State beat Colorado on the road for the first time in almost nine years.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Torin Francis scored 19 points and Notre Dame surprised No. 19 Connecticut with its strong inside play in a 78-74 victory on Sunday.
After shooting 50 percent for most of the game, UConn missed its final five shots, including a breakaway layup by Marcus Williams that would have tied the game at 76 with 15 seconds left. Instead, Williams fouled Chris Thomas on the rebound and he made two free throws to give the Irish the four-point lead.
UConn (12-5, 4-3 Big East) missed its final two 3-point attempts as time ran out, giving Notre Dame its first win over a ranked team since beating the ninth-ranked Huskies a year ago.
Thomas had 11 of his 15 points in the second half for the Irish (13-5, 5-3), who had lost two straight.
The student section swarmed the floor to celebrate the victory.
The Huskies led by an many as seven points early in the second half, but the Irish used a 9-3 run to tie the score at 61 when Thomas drove the lane for a layup midway through the second half. The game was close the rest of the way.
No. 2 Duke 100, Virginia Tech 65
DURHAM, N.C. -- Virginia Tech's first trip to Cameron Indoor Stadium as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference was painful.
Shelden Williams had a double-double by halftime and J.J. Redick scored 29 points despite a shaky performance at the free throw line, helping Duke bury the Hokies.
Williams finished with 25 points and 17 rebounds for Duke (16-1, 6-1), which bounced back from a home loss earlier in the week to Maryland. Daniel Ewing added 17 points.
Virginia Tech (11-7, 4-3) fell to 0-8 all-time at Cameron and played the final 4:39 without coach Seth Greenberg, who was issued his second technical foul and headed to the locker room.
No. 9 Oklahoma St. 104, Colorado 86
BOULDER, Colo. -- John Lucas scored 26 points and Jameson Curry had 17 of his 22 in the second half to lead Oklahoma State to its first win here in almost nine years.
Oklahoma State (15-3, 5-2 Big 12) rebounded from a 67-57 defeat to No. 13 Oklahoma last Monday with its highest scoring game of the season to win in Boulder for the first time since Feb. 24, 1996.
The Buffaloes (10-8, 2-5) made 11 of their school-record 17 3-pointers in the first half and trailed 52-50.
No. 10 Wash. 79, Arizona St. 70
TEMPE, Ariz. -- Nate Robinson scored 18 of his 23 points in the second half and Washington pulled away to beat Arizona State and move back into a tie with Arizona for first place in the Pac-10.
The Huskies (17-3, 7-2) lost 92-83 at No. 11 Arizona on Thursday night. But Washington State upset Arizona on Saturday, clearing the way for the Huskies to regain a share of the conference lead by beating ASU.
Ike Diogu had 14 points and 13 rebounds for Arizona State, his 80th double-digit scoring game in his 80-game collegiate career. Kevin Kruger added 12 points but had five turnovers, while Steve Moore scored 11 and Bryson Krueger 10 for the Sun Devils (15-6, 4-5).
No. 14 Alabama 75, Georgia 47
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Kennedy Winston scored 18 points and Alabama capitalized on its suffocating defense to beat Georgia.
The game was originally scheduled for Saturday night, but the Bulldogs were delayed getting to Tuscaloosa because of icy weather in Georgia.
Alabama (17-3, 6-1 Southeastern Conference) held Georgia to 31 percent shooting from the field, the eighth time this season the Crimson Tide have held an opponent under 40 percent.
Younes Idrissi had 14 points for Georgia (7-10, 1-6).
Maryland 79, No. 22 Georgia Tech 71
COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Nik Caner-Medley scored 19 points and Chris McCray had 16, leading a balanced attack that carried rejuvenated Maryland past Georgia Tech.
The Terrapins let a 10-point halftime lead dwindle to three before pulling away to their second win over a ranked opponent in a five-day span. Maryland lost three of five before upsetting No. 2 Duke on the road Wednesday.
John Gilchrist scored 15 points, Ekene Ibekwe had 14 and Travis Garrison grabbed a career-high 15 rebounds for the Terrapins (13-5, 4-3 Atlantic Coast Conference), who have won 10 of their last 11 home games against Georgia Tech (12-6, 3-4).
