Parents announce Rizer-Gocala engagement

XThe engagement of Kristin L. Rizer, daughter of Lawrence and Jacqueline Rizer, all of 391 Shadydale Drive, Canfield, and John J. Gocala Jr., 125 Spring Garden Drive, Boardman, son of John Sr. and Joan Gocala, 6088 Frontier Drive, Poland, is being announced by the parents.
The couple will be married during an open-church ceremony at 2 p.m. May 7 at St. Matthias Church in Youngstown. Invitations will be issued for an evening reception at Mr. Anthony's in Boardman.
Miss Rizer is a controller for Smith & amp; Co. Jewelers in Boardman. She earned a bachelor's degree in accounting at Youngstown State University.
Her fiance, who also earned a bachelor's in accounting at YSU, is an officer with Boardman Township Police Department.
