Chili Open serves as fund-raiser



The brisk nine holes of golf will raise money for the group's service projects.
POLAND -- Poland Rotary's Chili Open Golf Classic, the popular fund-raiser that puts players on the links for an early morning round of golf, will be held this year on Feb. 19 at Reserve Run Golf Course, 625 E. Western Reserve Road.
The nine holes of play will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Cost is $25 per golfer, who may register by calling (330) 549-5358 or (330) 360-GOLF.
Some of the organizations that have benefited from past Chili Open auctions and golf outings are American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Boys and Girls Clubs, CASA, Easter Seals, Help Hotline, Hospice, Millcreek Children's Center, Paul and Anthony Rich Center for Autism, Poland Interfaith Pantry, Potential Development Center, Sojourner House, YMCA D.A. Children, Youngstown Hearing and Speech Center and the HIV/AIDS Ministry of the Ursuline Sisters.
