ANIMAL RESCUE Night at the races fund-raiser for Second Chance

The fifth annual event will benefit the animals at the shelter.
AUSTINTOWN -- The Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, will be setting Saturday for Second Chance Animal Rescue's fifth annual Night at the Races.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. with the races starting at 7. Also included will be maverick poker, blackjack, a 50-50 drawing, lottery raffle, Chinese and silent auctions and door prizes.
Admission is $5 at the door and includes hot dogs, sloppy joes, pizza and snacks. Proceeds will benefit the animals at the shelter.
Second Chance has over 100 cats available for adoption; some dogs are in foster care. The adoption fee of $95 includes spaying or neutering, first shots and other basic care. For information on adoption, call the shelter at (330) 505-3575.
