Ga. Tech needs OT to top Wake

ATLANTA -- Jarrett Jack hit two free throws with 4.4 seconds left and Chris Paul missed a shot at the buzzer as No. 22 Georgia Tech ended a three-game losing streak with a 102-101 overtime victory over No. 5 Wake Forest on Thursday night.
Georgia Tech (12-5, 3-3 Atlantic Coast Conference) built a 17-point lead in the first half, but Wake Forest had a chance to win it at the end of regulation and overtime. Paul missed both chances for the Demon Deacons (16-3, 4-2).
Will Bynum scored a career-high 30 points for Georgia Tech, while Jack added 23.
Eric Williams led Wake Forest with 27 points and Justin Gray had 22.
Paul was 2-of-11 from the field and finished with eight points.

TUCSON, Ariz. -- Channing Frye scored 14 of his 18 points in the second half and the Wildcats made 38 of 40 free throws to take over first place in the Pac-10.
Arizona (17-3, 7-1) made 31 straight from the line at one point.
Salim Stoudamire scored 25 points, capped by a three-point play on a leaning baseline bank shot with 44 seconds left that put Arizona ahead 88-82.
Brandon Roy led Washington (16-3, 6-2) with 15 points, nine rebounds and seven assists but was just 5-of-14 from the field.

Dion Harris and Courtney Sims each had 12 points for the Wolverines (12-8, 3-3), who lost for the 11th time in 12 meetings with Michigan State.

TAMPA, Fla. -- Eric Hicks had 19 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Bearcats (16-3, 5-1 Conference USA) to their 14th consecutive win in the series.
Brian Swift had 20 of his 27 points in the second half for South Florida (8-9, 1-5), which has lost five straight.
