Parks leader hearing set



YOUNGSTOWN -- Judge Timothy P. Maloney of Mahoning County Probate Court has scheduled a public hearing for the six final applicants to serve as a Mill Creek MetroParks commissioner at 6 p.m. Thursday at McMahon Hall, 7574 Columbiana-Canfield Road, Canfield.
The public is invited to attend and question the applicants. This is the second time the judge has used the public interview process to select a park board commissioner. The finalists are Richard Anthony, Rick Shale, Deborah Savage, J. Robert Lyden, Patricia Nardella and Atty. Carl A. Nunziato.
Judge Maloney said the application process remains open for appointments to the facilities review board. People interested in obtaining an application should contact the probate court located in the county courthouse, 120 Market St.
Applications can be mailed, but those wishing to do so must include in their request to the court a 9x12 self-addressed stamped envelope allowing for 74 cents postage.
