Vanderbilt (13-5, 2-3 Southeastern Conference) had dominated this series in recent years, winning nine of the past 11 games. Seimone Augustus scored 20 points for LSU (18-1, 5-0), which is off to its best SEC start ever. Wendlyn Jones had 13 points, and Scholanda Hoston added 11. Dee Davis led Vanderbilt with 24 points.

The Scarlet Knights (13-4, 4-1), who shot 47 percent in the first half, shot 17 percent in the second.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Shyra Ely scored 13 points for Tennessee, which held Kentucky to six field goals in the first half. Former Tennessee assistant Mickie DeMoss was making her first appearance in Thompson-Boling Arena as an opposing coach, and the Lady Vols faithful gave her a warm welcome. But Tennessee (14-3, 4-0 Southeastern Conference) wasn't nice to the Wildcats once the game started, racing to a 22-2 lead. Freshman Samantha Mahoney led Kentucky (13-7, 2-3) with 15 points.

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Tanisha Wright and Jess Strom each scored 24 points to lead Penn State. Wright had 16 points in the second half, including 10 during a 25-7 run that put the Lady Lions (12-6, 7-0 Big Ten) ahead 67-51 with 2:36 left. Lindsay Bowen scored 13 points to lead the Spartans (16-3, 5-2), who also got 11 points from Liz Shimek and 10 from Kristin Haynie.

MINNEAPOLIS -- Kelly Roysland scored a career-high 19 points for Minnesota. Janel McCarville had 16 points and nine rebounds while Jamie Broback and Shannon Schonrock each scored 12 points for the Gophers (16-3, 6-1 Big Ten), who shot 55 percent from the field and led 80-49 before the Illini scored the game's final 19 points.

Crystal Langhorne had 13 points and 19 rebounds for Maryland (13-4, 3-3).

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Jenna Rubino, Allie Quigley and Caprice Smith each had 16 points for DePaul (15-3, 4-1 Conference USA), which controlled the game from the beginning and led 48-27 at the half. Shannon Sueber led Southern Miss (6-12, 15) with 20 points. DePaul shot 59.1 percent from the floor and held the Eagles to just 40.4 percent.

STARKVILLE, Miss. -- Tasha Humphey had 24 points and 12 rebounds to help Georgia (15-5, 4-2 Southeastern Conference) rally from a six-point halftime deficit. Sherill Baker finished with 14 points and Megan Darrah added 10 for the Bulldogs. Tan White led Mississippi State (14-4, 3-2 SEC) with 22 points. Rebecca Kates added 15 and Tiania Burns scored 11.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton scored a career-high 19 points and Katie Gearlds added 19 points and six assists to lead Purdue. Gearlds scored 17 of her 19 in the second half, including three 3-pointers that helped the Boilermakers erase a seven-point deficit. Jamie Cavey had 22 points and six rebounds for Iowa (14-4, 3-4 Big Ten). Erin Lawless added 17 points and nine rebounds for Purdue (11-7, 4-3).
