TRUMBULL COUNTY Victim in fire had started it, officials say

In Trumbull County, three unrelated fatalities occurred in a 30-minute period Friday.
WARREN -- A man found dead in a burning house Friday evening apparently started the blaze before shooting himself, a fire investigator said.
Firefighters responding to a call at 5:14 p.m. found the man upstairs in the two-story brick house at 1176 Adelaide Ave. S.E. The fire appears to have started in the living room, said Randy Stelk, fire investigator for Warren Fire Department.
Investigators declined to identify the man or divulge details of the fire, saying they are awaiting results of Saturday's autopsy. The death is one of three Trumbull County fatalities that occurred in a 30-minute period Friday.
At 4:45 p.m., a Youngstown man died in a fire at his sister's Hubbard Township house, where he was watching her two dogs, according to a neighbor.
The state fire marshal's office is investigating the fire, which broke out in the kitchen.
The owners of the house, Anita Whitley, and her husband, John, were visiting their son at Ohio Northern University at the time, said Shirley Eckley, who lives next to the house at 1777 Kokomo Drive.
Eckley said the brother's first name is Charles. Investigators said the man appeared to be in his 40s or 50s.
Hubbard Township Police Department declined to release the victim's name or details of the fire, referring questions to the fire marshal's office, which also turned down inquiries. Autopsy results were not yet available.
Auto fatality
A two-car accident at state Route 82 and Scoville North Road in Vienna Township killed Nick M. Lambert, 78, of Cortland, at 4:42 p.m.
Lambert was northbound on Scoville North Road when his car pulled into the path of Ronald V. Fiore, 49, of Warren, who was westbound on State Route 82, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol Warren post.
Fiore was in satisfactory condition at Trumbull Memorial Hospital on Saturday evening.
