BATON ROUGE, La. -- Seimone Augustus scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds in 19 minutes to lead the Tigers to their most lopsided Southeastern Conference victory ever. LSU's previous largest margin of victory over an SEC opponent was 43 points, two years ago against Kentucky. For the second consecutive game, every member of the team got in the game for the Tigers, who got 43 points from their reserves. Augustus scored in double figures for the 44th straight game, and Quianna Chaney and Sylvia Fowles scored 11 points for the Tigers (17-1, 4-0 Southeastern Conference).

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Cappie Pondexter scored a season-high 19 points and Scarlet Knights coach C. Vivian Stringer moved into a tie for third-place on the career victories list among women's coaches. The win was No. 708 for Stringer, tying her with recently retired LSU coach Sue Gunter (708-308). Michelle Campbell added 14 points for the Scarlet Knights (13-3, 4-0), who used a relentless press to force 25 turnovers and send Providence (1-15, 0-5) to its 27th consecutive Big East Conference loss. Providence has not won a conference game since beating Pittsburgh 57-54 on Feb. 8, 2003.

AUBURN, Ala. -- Shyra Ely scored 20 points, Tye'sha Fluker had 18 points and 11 rebounds, and Tennessee rode a late surge to an 81-71 victory over Auburn on Thursday night. The seventh-ranked Lady Vols (13-3, 3-0 Southeastern Conference) made 10 of 11 free throws after briefly falling behind to extend their regular-season league winning streak to 37 games. The Tigers (9-8, 0-4) lost their sixth consecutive game.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Ganiyat Adeduntan scored a career-high 26 points and Roneeka Hodges had 23, including a three-point play that tied the score late in regulation, for the Seminoles. Adeduntan made a 3-pointer to open overtime, and the Seminoles never trailed again. Florida State (17-2, 4-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) is off to the best start in school history. The ninth-ranked Tar Heels (14-3, 2-2) went scoreless for nearly seven minutes in regulation and overtime, and missed their last seven shots in the second half -- including three in the last 35 seconds. The win snapped FSU's six-game losing streak against North Carolina, which won 15 of the previous 16 meetings.

MINNEAPOLIS -- Janel McCarville scored 25 points and grabbed nine rebounds for Minnesota. Jamie Broback added 12 points and seven rebounds for the 12th-ranked Gophers (15-3, 5-1 Big Ten). Shannon Bolden held the Wolverines' leading scorer, Tabitha Pool, to eight points.
Ta'Shia Walker scored 14 points, and Kelly Helvey had 11 for the last-place Wolverines (4-13, 0-6), who lost their ninth straight.

BOSTON -- Clare Droesch hit a free throw with 0.2 seconds remaining to give the Eagles their 12th win in their past 13 games. Jessalyn Deveny led the Eagles (13-2, 5-0 Big East) with 19 points, and Droesch added 17 for Boston College, which trailed by as many as eight points in the second half. Meg Bulger pulled West Virginia (11-5, 2-3) within 73-72 on a 3-pointer with 41.4 seconds left, then tied the score at 75 on a 3-pointer with 9.5 seconds to go. She finished with 25 points.

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Crystal Langhorne had 16 points and 17 rebounds, and an injured Shay Doron sparked a late surge for the Terrapins. Doron scored 21 points and Kalika France had 14 for the Terrapins (13-3, 3-2 Atlantic Coast Conference), now 9-0 at home for the first time since the 1991-92 season. Takisha Granberry and Sharnee Zoll had 13 points apiece for the Cavaliers (13-5, 3-2).

OXFORD, Miss. -- Armintie Price scored 18 points to lead Mississippi. Amber Watts scored 14 points, and Carlette Brown and Ashley Johnson each added 10 for the Lady Rebels (12-5, 2-2 Southeastern Conference). Ashley Earley led Vanderbilt (13-4, 2-2) with 19 points.

CLEMSON, S.C. -- Kirby Copeland tied her career high with 15 points and Virginia Tech snapped a two-game losing streak. The Hokies (12-4, 2-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) had won nine straight to crack the national rankings earlier this month. The Lady Tigers (7-9) have lost three straight and five of their past seven.

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Jess Strom scored 23 points and Tanisha Wright added 22 for Penn State. Strom scored 11 straight points in the second half, including nine in a 19-2 run. Wright finished the outburst with six straight points to give the Lady Lions (11-6, 6-0 Big Ten) a 60-40 lead with 6:05 remaining. Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton led the Boilermakers (10-7, 3-3) with 16 points. Purdue lost its third straight overall and fifth consecutive game in State College.
