STANFORD, Calif. -- Stanford completed an undefeated home season behind freshman Candice Wiggins' 20 points. Stanford won its 17th straight game and finished unbeaten at home for the first time since 1996-97, when the Cardinal reached the Final Four. Brooke Smith added 14 points for Stanford (26-2, 17-1 Pac-10), which won its 37th straight Pac-10 home game. Kelley Suminski, one of five Stanford seniors honored before the game, had 12 points and Sebnem Kimyacioglu added 11 points and three blocks. Mandy Close and Shannon Howell had eight points apiece to lead the Beavers (6-22, 1-17), who lost their seventh straight and 10th in a row in the series.
No. 10 Notre Dame 82, West Virginia 57
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Teresa Borton scored 18 points on 8-of-9 shooting and added nine rebounds and five blocks to help Notre Dame dominate the lane. The Fighting Irish (24-4, 12-3 Big East) took control with a 13-0 run late in the second half and never let the Mountaineers (16-10, 7-8) back in the game. Notre Dame outscored the Mountaineers 46-22 inside, had a 39-30 rebounding advantage and outscored West Virginia 15-6 from the free-throw line. Jacqueline Batteast had 15 points and became the fourth Irish player to moved past the 1,800-point mark with 1,809. Megan Duffy added 12 points and 10 assists. Yolanda Paige and Sherell Sowho had 16 points each to lead West Virginia. Meg Bulger, who averages 20.5 points, had nine on 4-of-19 shooting.
No. 17 Kansas State 73, Kansas 46
MANHATTAN, Kan. -- Kendra Wecker had 21 points and 13 rebounds to lead Kansas State. It was Wecker's 49th career double-double and she closed to 38 points of former teammate Nicole Ohlde's Big 12 career-scoring mark. She has 2,203 career points. Laurie Koehn added five 3-pointers and 19 points for the Wildcats (20-6, 11-4 Big 12).
No. 21 Iowa St. 68, Texas A & amp;M 54
AMES, Iowa -- Katie Robinette had 18 points and a career-high 14 rebounds to lead Iowa State. Lyndsey Medders had 14 points and 10 assists for the Cyclones (21-5, 11-4 Big 12). Charlette Castile made a career-high six 3-pointers and scored a career-best 20 points for A & amp;M.
