Alumni game
BESSEMER, Pa. -- The National Honor Society at Mohawk High will sponsor a benefit alumni basketball game Saturday at 6 p.m. at the high school.
Admission is $3.
Zanesville manwins bowling event
NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- Ted Hannahs of Zanesville averaged 229 pins for four games, which included a two-game-set of 258-279-537, to win the fourth Michael "Mickey" Michalojko Memorial Scratch Bowling Tournament at Colonial Lanes.
He had a 31-pin lead after the first game and made 11 out of 12 strikes in the second.
Jeff Germann of Wheeling, W. Va., was runner-up in he field of 88 bowlers. Marco Laurenza of New Castle was third and Joe Bailey of Doylestown was fourth.
Miller of Fitchsigns with Malone
AUSTINTOWN -- J. R. Miller, a two-way starter for the Fitch High football team, will continue his career at Malone College.
A 6 foot, 243-pounder, Miller was an offensive guard-linebacker and captain of the Falcons' team.
He was a first-team selection on the Federal League All-Star squad.
Darnell Boone to fight
YOUNGSTOWN -- Youngstown middleweight Darnell Boone is scheduled for a six-round fight Saturday night against Walid Smichet in Quebec.
Boone (4-0, 2 knockouts) will face a man ranked 68th in the world. Smichet, from Montreal, is 8-1-1 with 6 KOs.
The main event is a 12-round fight between Herman Ngoudjo and Elroy Rojas for the vacant NABF light-welterweight title.

Parking to increasearound Heinz, PNC
PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh sports fans will pay more to park at a garage near Heinz Field and PNC Park next season.
The city's Sports & amp; Exhibition Authority on Thursday unanimously voted to raise parking fees at a garage from $20 to $25 for Steelers' games and from $10 to $12 for Pirates and University of Pittsburgh football games.

*CARLSBAD, Calif. -- Two-time defending champion Tiger Woods won his 13th consecutive match at the rain-soaked Match Play Championship on Thursday.
Woods coasted to a 4-and-3 victory over Nick Price, as nine of the top 10 seeds advanced to the second round.
Top-seeded Vijay Singh beat Shingo Katayama 4 and 3, Phil Mickelson led by as many as four holes before dispatching short-hitting Loren Roberts 3 and 1, and Retief Goosen went the distance with Stephen Leaney, winning 1-up.
Fifth-seeded Mike Weir was the only loser among the top 10, falling to Kirk Triplett 1-up.
Sergio Garcia, the No. 6 seed, easily beat Alex Cejka 4 and 2, but the remaining top 10 needed at least 18 holes to win. St. Joe's playerlikely out for season
PHILADELPHIA -- John Chaney's use of a "goon" is going to have a lasting effect on Saint Joseph's.
Hawks senior forward John Bryant could miss the rest of the season after an MRI on Thursday showed he had a broken right arm. Bryant was injured on a hard foul two days earlier by a Temple player who Chaney put in the game for the sole purpose of rough play and hard fouls.
Shaq shouldresume playing soon
MIAMI -- Miami Heat All-Star center Shaquille O'Neal has a mildly sprained left knee and might play Saturday against the Orlando Magic.
An MRI exam confirmed a very mild sprain, the team said Thursday. O'Neal didn't comment to reporters waiting outside the hospital, and is listed as day to day.
He was injured in the first two minutes of Tuesday's game in Chicago when he leaped to catch an alley-oop pass from Dwyane Wade and landed awkwardly atop Bulls forward Othella Harrington. O'Neal stayed on the court for several minutes, clearly in pain.
