CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS
"Luck of the Irish." St. Patrick's Day stories and craft for children in grades K-6 at Main Library, 6:30 p.m. March 14.

"Let's Take a Trip to the Zoo." Animal stories and craft for children of all ages at Main Library, 3 p.m. March 12.
"Seuss on the Loose." Stories, craft, games and more silly fun for school-age children at Austintown, 4:30 p.m. March 15.
"Make an Eric Carle Creation." A collage-a-thon of Carle stories, movie and craft for preschool children up to grade 6 at Boardman, 7 p.m. March 22.
"Fix-It Please." Listen to fix-it stories and make a tool belt for children ages 3-6 at Brownlee Woods, March 11; and Struthers, March 10. Both at 10 a.m.

"Computer Basics Mini-Series Part 1." Find out about library computers. Learn the basics at Main Library, 9-10:30 a.m. March 3; and West, 10:30-11:30 a.m. March 3.
"Computer Basics Mini-Series Part 2." This class builds upon the skills learned in Computer Basics Part 1 at Main Library, 9-10:30 March 10; and West, 10:30-11:30 a.m. March 10.
"Computer Clinic -- Ask a Librarian." You choose the topic. Sign up for a 30-minute consultation session to obtain one-on-one assistance from a librarian at Austintown, 9-11 a.m. March 1 and 6-8 p.m. March 14; Main Library, 9:30-11 a.m. March 15 and 9-10:30 a.m. March 30; and by appointment at East, March 21; North, March 7; and South, March 10.
"Computers -- Beyond Basics." This hands-on session offers a review of the basics and introduces the student to working with files in the Windows environment at Boardman, 2:30-4 p.m. March 2. Must have taken a basic computer class or be proficient with the mouse.
"Excel Basics." An introduction to the spreadsheet component of Microsoft Office. Learn how to navigate in Excel and create and modify a simple Excel file at Main Library, 9-10:30 a.m. March 16; and Boardman, 2:30-4 p.m. March 9. Must have taken a basic computer class or be proficient with the mouse.
"Internet Mini-Series Part 1." This class introduces the Internet and World Wide Web at Main Library, 9-10:30 a.m. March 12; Boardman, 9:30-11 a.m. March 2 and West, 10:30-11:30 a.m. March 17. Must have taken a basic computer class or be proficient with the mouse.
"Internet Mini-Series Part 2." Continues the exploration of the Internet via the library's web site at Main Library, 9-10:30 a.m. March 19; Boardman, 9:30-11 a.m. March 9; and West, 10:30-11:30 a.m. March 24.
"Word Processing Mini-Series Part 1." An introduction to Microsoft Word, the word processor available on all YPL public access computers at Main Library, March 7, from 9-10:30 a.m.; and Boardman, 11:30-1 p.m. March 2. Must have taken a basic computer class or be proficient with the mouse.
"Word Processing Mini-Series Part 2." This class builds upon the skills learned in Word Processing I at Main Library, 9-10:30 a.m. March 14; and Boardman, 2:30-4 p.m. March 9.
