Andy Lamancusa, Rob Holbert finish third in finals

The championship finals were not concluded in time for this edition.
COLUMBUS -- Andy Lamancusa (40-1), 140-pound junior, of West Branch High School won a consolation title with a major decision 22-9 win over Alan Sells of Milton Union in the Division II state wrestling tournament Saturday at Ohio State University's Schottenstein Center.
He beat Andrew Doughty of Willard 6-3 in a consolation semifinal.
Heavyweight Rob Holbert (38-2) of Howland, a senior, finished third as he pinned Zach Reckman of Cincinnati Indian Hill in 2 minutes, 40 seconds.
He also edged Mike Carpenter of Thornville Sheridan 6-5 in a consolation semifinal.
Three area athletes placed fifth as Max Pearce, 125, of Poland Seminary edged Nate Burton of Columbus St. Francis DeSales 6-5, Matt Walker, 215, of Alliance beat Dustin Smith of Sandusky Perkins 3-1 in overtime and Anthony Duffield, 125, of East Liverpool downed Danny Michaels of Clyde, 6-4.
Seventh-place matches
Eric Morrow, 119, of West Branch came in sixth as he lost to Matt McGovern of Columbus St. Francis DeSales 14-5. Steve Wall, 112, of Howland topped John Kidd of Bellevue 16-8 for seventh.
Brandon Rydarowicz, 275, of Hubbard was eighth losing 10-6 to Jeremy Fennell of Sandusky Perkins and Joe Knopick, 189, of Southeast was also eighth as he lost to Tony Brown of Pemberville Eastwood.
Nick Bodnar of Fitch (37-6), 135, a junior, placed sixth in Division I as he lost to Tyler Dowell of Pickerington Central.
Brad Harnett, 130 of Brookfield beat David Bortz of Steubenville CC 8-6 to place seventh in Division III.
A pair of Jackson-Milton athletes were eighth as John Rozum, 160, lost to Adam Olds of Sandusky St. Mary C.C. 4-3 and Adam Keck, 171, was turned back by Jude Riedy of Sandusky St. Mary C.C. 13-8.
Results from championship matches involving Tony Jameson, 103 and Anthony Gigliotti, 145 of Fitch; Nathan Sharp, 275 of West Branch; Kyle Gantz, 215 of Howland and Nick Dierkes, 145 of Jackson-Milton weren't completed in time for today's editions.
