Bethany routs Thiel in PAC tourney



BETHANY, W. Va. -- Brandon Duncan scored 27 points and Matt Drahos added 22, leading Bethany College to a 126-86 rout of Thiel in the semifinals of the Presidents' Athletic Conference men's basketball tournament Thursday night.
The Bison (23-3) will play host to Washington & amp; Jefferson in the championship game Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
Mike Drahos finished with 21 points and eight rebounds for Bethany, which led 57-35 at halftime. Scott Mezyk finished with 14 points and nine assists, while Chris Stephens had 10 points and six assists.
Thiel (8-19) was led by Daryl Moore, who scored 30 points. Joe Herrmann added 18 points and seven rebounds, while Stephen Laird and Ross Watson had 11 and 10 points, respectively. Watson also had seven rebounds.
Washington & amp; Jefferson 69,Grove City 57
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Washington & amp; Jefferson got 24 points from Brandon Studer to upset the Wolverines in the other PAC semifinal.
Matt Vorndran added 15 points for the Presidents (10-17), who won at Grove City for the first time since 1994. Jon Koch had 12 points and 10 rebounds, and Tyler Trutza had nine points and nine assists.
Grove City (13-12) was led by Ryan Eller's 17 points, while Phil Bushre scored 10.
