YOUNGSTOWN & amp;#150; There will be funeral services at noon on Monday at the New Bethel Baptist Church for Earnestine Barnes, 76, who departed this life in the home of her daughter. & lt;BR & gt;
Mrs. Barnes was born Nov. 13, 1928 in Marion, Ala., a daughter of Jerry L. and Claudia Taylor Hill. She moved to Cassville, W.Va., as a child, where she met and married her husband. They came to Youngstown in July of 1968. & lt;BR & gt;
She was a lunch aide for the Youngstown schools, retiring in 1988. She was a member of the church, secretary of the Stella Bailey Missions, secretary of the Senior Adult Choir, secretary of the Senior Ministry and was on the Food Distribution Committee, the Kitchen Staff Committee and the clothing center. She was also a life member of the National Urban League. & lt;BR & gt;
Her husband, Clarence E. Barnes, executive director of the Youngstown Area Urban, whom she married Feb. 14, 1953, died June 16, 1982. & lt;BR & gt;
She leaves her children, Frank E. (Ritzetta) Barnes of Alliance and Bernard Barnes, Denise A. (Eugene) Carper, Arnett A. Barnes and Glenna S. Barnes, all of Youngstown; three sisters, LuAlma Lewis and Julia Tucker, both of Pittsburgh and her twin, Josephine Banks of Cassville; her mother-in-law, Mildred Kelly of Roanoke, Va., nine grandchildren, including Clarence J. Barnes at home, whom she helped rear; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. & lt;BR & gt;

Mr. Blauser was born April 1, 1909 in Baltimore, Ohio, a son of Otto Jacob and Nora Warner Blauser. & lt;BR & gt;
He graduated from Liberty Union High School and Ohio University. He taught at Woodrow Wilson High School for 38 years. & lt;BR & gt;
He was a life member of The State and Local Teacher Associations and a member of the Chatterbox Club. As a member of Pleasant Grove Church he served as an Elder, Trustee, Treasurer and former Superintendent of Sunday school. Four of his former Sunday school students became Presbyterian ministers. & lt;BR & gt;
His first wife, Grayce Knittle Blauser, whom he married in 1936, died July 7, 1979. & lt;BR & gt;
He is survived by his wife, the former Arada Jenkins Franklin, whom he married in 1980; a son, Paul Blauser of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. & lt;BR & gt;
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Ann; four brothers, Dwight, Richard, Otto and Fred Blauser; and a sister, Lois Brown. & lt;BR & gt;

NEW CASTLE, PA. & amp;#150; Dorothy Frey DeGarmo, 86, formerly of Overlook Medical Clinic in New Wilmington, Pa., passed away Saturday at the clinic following an extended illness. & lt;BR & gt;
Dorothy was born Sept. 27, 1918 in New Castle to the late Clarence and Esther Maude Evans Frey. & lt;BR & gt;
Mrs. DeGarmo was a 1936 alumna of New Castle High School and attended what is now Slippery Rock University on a voice scholarship. & lt;BR & gt;
She was a secretary for more than 10 years at St. Mary Church of Mary, Mother of Hope Parish. In her earlier years, she had worked for Garrett Railroad Company. & lt;BR & gt;
She was an active member of St. Camillus Church in Neshannock Township and gave her time and talents to many committees within the church and in her community. & lt;BR & gt;
Dorothy was the heart of the family and will be greatly missed by all of those who felt her love. She will be remembered for being so giving and hopeful, yet so very practical, and for the courage and dignity she displayed during this final illness. & lt;BR & gt;
Her beloved husband, John & amp;#147;Jack & amp;#148; DeGarmo, whom she married Feb. 10, 1943, passed away July 24, 1989. & lt;BR & gt;
Dorothy is survived by her loving daughter, Judith and husband Robert Gilroy of Thiensville, Wis.; and her devoted son, John Patrick DeGarmo of New Castle. She was the proud grandma of six grandchildren, Laurie Gilroy Schmitt and husband Michael, Trish DeGarmo Slagle and husband Ehren, Patrick DeGarmo, Maureen DeGarmo, Traci DeGarmo and Dennis DeGarmo. She also leaves three great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Benjamin and Meghan Schmitt, whom she adored; two sisters, Thelma Edds and Esther Robinson of California; her dear sister-in-law, Mary Ann DeGarmo Cleary of Niles; and many nieces and nephews. & lt;BR & gt;
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer and Raymond Frey. & lt;BR & gt;
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Tuesday at St. Camillus Church. The Rev. Philip Farrell officiated. & lt;BR & gt;
Burial followed at Oak Park Cemetery. & lt;BR & gt;

She was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, its Altar and Rosary Society, Senior Citizens, and had served as Lector and Eucharistic Minister. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and had been a longtime member of the Wednesday Night Card Club since 1962. She was also an over 40-year member of the Msgr. Mears Council No. 3930 of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. & lt;BR & gt;
Her husband, James P. Driscoll Sr., whom she married Sept. 7, 1957, died Aug. 27, 1999. & lt;BR & gt;

He was born Nov. 28, 1915 in Youngstown, the son of the late Howard Charles and Ruby Sheets Rempes. & lt;BR & gt;
He was a 1934 graduate of The Rayen School, where he was a member of The Rayen Band. He was a 1938 graduate of Youngstown College, where he was a cheerleader, played in the orchestra, enjoyed dramatics, was editor of the Jambar, and was a member of Sigma Delta Beta. He was awarded the Y.C. pin, organized a band to play at basketball games and was a cheerleader at the first Youngstown College football game. & lt;BR & gt;
Following graduation, he worked at the YMCA During WWII, he was a First Lieutenant, serving in England and France as a photo officer in the 9th Air Force Troop Carrier Command. After the war, he joined the Community Chest of Youngstown as public relations director. & lt;BR & gt;
In 1946, he went to WKBN Radio as promotion manager and photographer. With the arrival of television, he became television production supervisor. He was the cameraman on the first program ever televised in Youngstown. & lt;BR & gt;
In 1955, he joined Brice Productions as cinematographer. He was an instructor in photography and commercial art at Youngstown State University. & lt;BR & gt;
In 1958, he became executive director of the Mahoning County Medical Society and served in this capacity for 23 years, retiring in 1981. & lt;BR & gt;
He was a member of the John Knox Presbyterian Church, having served as deacon, elder and trustee. He was past president of the Association of County Medical Executives and an affiliate member of the Ohio State Medical Association and the American Medical Association. He was past president of the Youngstown University Alumni Association, and had served as treasurer of the Board of Goodwill Industries. He was a member of the Warren Photographic Society and won a number of awards for his photography, exhibiting at the Butler Art Institute, the annual Northeast Ohio Photo Shows, the Mill Creek Park Shows and the Canfield Fair Shows. & lt;BR & gt;
He leaves his wife of 56 years, the former Eleanor Grince, and two sons, Charles of Lowman, Idaho, and Richard of San Diego. & lt;BR & gt;
