Breakfastgoers to munch on funding ideas



YOUNGSTOWN -- The future of public education funding will be the topic of an upcoming "power breakfast" presentation at Youngstown State University.
The event will include a continental breakfast and a panel discussion focusing on the importance of education to the Valley region, current funding challenges and a forecast for the future.
Mike McNair, supervisor of community relations for Youngstown City Schools, will moderate the panel, which takes place from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the Presidential Suite at YSU's Kilcawley Center.
The panelists are Thomas Humphries, president and CEO of the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber; Sandra J. DiBacco-Tusinac, Struthers City School District superintendent; Chuck Swindler, Western Reserve School District superintendent; and Joseph F. Johnson, Ohio Department of Education special assistant to the state superintendent.
