Cellular One donatesto Big Brothers, Big Sisters
YOUNGSTOWN -- Cellular One from Dobson Cellular Systems has donated $250 to Big Brothers Big Sisters, in conjunction with the addition of its newest cellular towers recently constructed in Hubbard, Vernon, Liberty and Campbell.
Brian Higgins, from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mahoning Valley, will be at the Cellular One store, 1393 Boardman-Canfield Road in Boardman, at 1 p.m. Thursday to receive the donation.
Lit'l Mac's recognized
WARREN -- Lit'l Mac's Food Store, 1763 Parkman Road N.W. is being recognized this week by the Ohio Lottery Commission as retailer of the week.
The store will be acknowledged on the Ohio Lottery's top-rated TV Show, "Cash Explosion Double Play" at 7:30 p.m. Saturday on WFMJ Channel 21.
The lottery commission said Lit'l Mac's Food Store puts forth a lot of effort when it comes to catering to lottery needs.
Michael McAllister is owner of the business, which has been selling lottery tickets for 20 years. The store has a weekly selling average of more than $19,000 for online and instant tickets.

Report: May stores put CEO search on hold
ST. LOUIS -- May Department Stores Co. reportedly has suspended its search for a new chief executive as it continues merger talks with rival Federated Department Stores Inc.
May and Federated declined to comment Tuesday.
The New York Times, citing unidentified executives close to St. Louis-based May, reported Tuesday that the operator of Lord & amp; Taylor, Famous-Barr, The Jones Store, Filene's and other regional department stores told a recruitment firm it hired to "put the search on the back burner" while it talks with Federated.
The Times said talks between May and Cincinnati-based Federated -- owner of Macy's and Bloomingdale's chains -- gained momentum last weekend.
Citing one executive, the newspaper said May has been holding out for a price "north of $40 a share" while Federated indicated it wanted to pay in the mid-30s, though both sides in recent days indicated they'd be willing to compromise.
Boeing sells aircraft plants to investment group
WICHITA, Kan. -- Boeing Co. on Tuesday sold its commercial aircraft plants in Kansas and Oklahoma to a Toronto-based investment group, part of the company's strategy to focus on design and final assembly.
Onex Corp. bought Boeing's commercial aircraft facility in Wichita, along with plants in Tulsa and McAlester, Okla., for $900 million cash and the assumption of $300 million in liabilities.
The Chicago-based aerospace giant has been trying to sell the plants for more than a year.
MGM Mirage-Mandalay merger recommended
LAS VEGAS -- Nevada gambling regulators recommended approval Tuesday for MGM Mirage's plan to buy rival Mandalay Resort Group and create one of the world's largest gambling companies.
Gaming Control Board members said they were satisfied the deal to create a company with 11 resorts, half the employees and almost half the 74,424 hotel rooms on the Las Vegas Strip won't overwhelm other businesses.
The board recommendation goes Thursday to the Nevada Gaming Commission. The Federal Trade Commission approved the sale last week.
