SUMMER FESTIVAL Warren Junior Military Band's Mini-Camp begins this weekend

WARREN -- The Warren Junior Military Band's Summer Festival Youth Band will have its first Mini-Camp weekend Saturday and Sunday at Warren Western Reserve Middle School.
New people are welcome to try out on both days.
Mini-Camp rehearsals are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Students will work on new concert and marching music and learn the band's unique marching style. Lunch is provided free.
Students should wear sneakers and bring their instruments and music stands. Parents are welcome to visit.
Band members are from schools in Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana and Portage counties. WJMB's Summer Band members include local students plus students from schools in Pennsylvania and Michigan.
The band's summer music camp is scheduled for June 3-18 at Badger Meadows Camp and Conference Center near Kinsman. This summer, the band will represent Ohio as it performs in Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin at music festivals and contests, including the National Cherry Festival in Traverse City, Mich.
