POWDER ROOMS New collections add style

Master bathrooms aren't the only "necessary room" in the limelight these days. Margie Rowe, of Moen Incorporated in North Olmsted, said homeowners are investing a lot of time and money in sprucing up their powder rooms. "The powder room has become a showplace. It is the bathroom your guests see when they visit your home," Rowe said. "People are using their powder rooms to make a style statement. Often they are decorating this room in a totally different style than the rest of the house. It's a small space where you can break away and have some fun." In response to the trend, Moen has launched several powder room collections that feature bold and unique matching faucets, toilet paper holders, towel bars, tank levers and shelves. Faucets and accessories in oil-rubbed bronze and antique nickel finishes are eclipsing traditional chrome finishes. "These finishes have an Old World look that is sophisticated and yet also reminiscent of simpler times," Rowe said.
