Henderson an Eagle Scout
Luke S. Henderson, son of Brad and Sue Henderson of Canfield, received his Eagle Scout Award at a court of honor ceremony Feb. 16.
Henderson joined Boy Scout Troop 25, which meets at Canfield United Methodist Church, in 1998. He has served as assistant senior patrol leader and is currently a quartermaster.
Some of his scouting activities include Gettysburg 2001, Tinnerman Canoe Base 2003, and the 2001 National Boy Scout Jamboree at Fort A.P. Hill, Va.
Henderson has also been awarded 5th year Pipestone, Gettysburg Historic Hike Trail and the 50-Miler Award. He has earned 24 merit badges, including atomic energy, citizenship in the nation and wilderness survival.
His Eagle Scout service project was to design and construct six dog houses for Angels for Animals.
Henderson is a senior at Canfield High School, where he participates in Key Club, German Club and is on the swim team. He is also a member of Methodist Youth Fellowship.
