Fitch beats Canfield on Wallace's final shot



AUSTINTOWN -- James Wallace tossed in a 3-point shot from the corner at the buzzer to lift Fitch High to a 43-42 victory over Canfield Saturday in a boys basketball game.
Wallace, who led the Falcons with 24 points, scored 10 of his points during the final minute of play.
Mike Brown added 10 points for the Falcons, which finished regular season play with 10-10 record.
Canfield, which completed the season 14-6, was led by Gurtreet Singh with 12 points and Jordan Ferns with 10.
The game was originally scheduled for Friday, but postponed by an accident that knocked out the electricity in the Austintown area.
Springfield 64, South Range 49
NEW MIDDLETOWN -- Springfield rode a hot third quarter to a 64-49 victory over South Range.
The Tigers (13-7, 8-4 ICL) were led by Luke Summers with 22 points, while Aaron Wood and Mason McCambridge added 12 points apiece.
Springfield held a 25-20 halftime advantage, but outscored the Raiders 20-11 in the third quarter to break open the contest.
South Range (6-14, 2-10) was led by Dan Holloway with 15 points and Brian Crawford added 13.
