Abby Moose scores 28 points as Grove City wins eighth consecutive game.
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Abby Moose poured in 28 points to lead Grove City College past Bethany, 76-61, in a Presidents' Athletic Conference women's basketball game Saturday.
It was the sixth consecutive 20-point effort by Moose, who led Grove City (16-8, 8-2) to its eighth consecutive victory.
Rachel McCoy added 17 points and she blocked two shots. Jocelyn Kempema had 13 points and 10 rebounds and four assists.
Jenny Place and Katie Resanovich led Bethany with 19 and 17 points respectively.
Washington & amp; Jefferson 86,Thiel 73
GREENVILLE, Pa. -- Washington & amp; Jefferson (20-5, 8-2 PAC) put five players in double figures with Dayna Greenfield sparking the team with 19 points.
Thiel (6-19, 2-8), got 20-point efforts from Fontella Jones and Kristen Benjamin, 13 points from Heather Abata and 12 from Nicole Valentino.
Shippensburg 62, Slippery Rock 54
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- Slippery Rock (9-17, 3-8), ahead 30-26 at halftime, was outscored 36-24 by Shippensburg in the second half.
Amber McFeely paced Slippery Rock with 16 points, three steals and four assists. Shanna Oaddams led Shippensburg with 13 points.
Roberts Wesleyan 69, Geneva 58
BEAVER FALLS, Pa. -- Geneva had a three-game winning snapped and a chance to advance to the AMC tournament squelched by Roberts Wesleyan.
The Golden Tornadoes (14-14, 9-9) were behind 26-24 at intermission, but Roberts Wesleyan (24-7, 15-3) pulled away with a 43-34 surge in the second half.
Judy Wright and Christine Hunter sparked Roberts Wesleyan with 25 and 24 points. Ruth Dobos and Allyson Clarke led Geneva with 16 points apiece.
Otterbein 83, Mount Union 75
ALLIANCE -- Danielle Holbrook went on a 33-point scoring spree to spark Otterbein (16-9, 13-5) in the Ohio Athletic Conference game.
Valerie Ruschau added 18 points, with Sara Fee and Lauren Roman each scoring 10.
Lauren Friedrich paced the Purple Raiders with 26 points and three assists. Kyla Hogan, with five assists, and Jen Moreck chipped in with 12 apiece.
Westminster 67, Waynesburg 46
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- Alyson Gasper scored 21 points on 6-of-10 shooting to lead Westminster (17-7, 7-3 PAC).
Gasper also had four rebounds and four assists for the Titans, who led 38-29 at halftime.
Desiree Sterling added 19 points and five assists for Westminster.
Waynesburg (10-13, 1-9) was led by Candice Eyerman, Lila St. Denis and Katie Lewandowski, all with eight points.
Denison 63, Allegheny 47
GRANVILLE -- Emma Woodward scored 18 points and added seven assists to lead Denison in a North Coast Athletic Conference game.
Marisa Hard added 11 points for Denison (16-8, 12-4 NCAC), while Kristen Sheffield had 15 rebounds.
Allegheny (18-7, 10-6) was led by Valery Medwid, Meredith McDonough and Katie Kestler, all with eight points.
