HOME AND GARDEN 'Bachelor' star coming to show at Expo Center

Antique pro Henry Rinker is also coming back for appraisals.
NILES -- Touted as one of America's most eligible bachelors, Andrew Firestone will be among the featured guests at the Mahoning Valley Home and Garden Show today through Sunday at the Eastwood Expo Center.
Firestone, who appeared on the hit ABC-TV series "The Bachelor," will be on hand Saturday with stage appearances and autograph signing at 2 and 6 p.m. He will also talk about his role as the man in charge of the Firestone Vineyards in California's Napa Valley.
Back by popular demand at this year's show will be Harry Rinker, star of HGTV's "The Inspector Collector" series and one of the nation's foremost antique experts.
Rinker will be on hand Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Insurance Center booth and on stage at noon, 4 and 7 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m., 1 and 4 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sunday to offer free appraisals of patrons' antiques and collectibles. Event promoter Dominic Baragona said an overhead camera will display the items people bring to be appraised.
Vendors focus on ponds
Baragona added that most of the landscapers at the show will feature ponds and streams in their displays. "It's what people want to see because it's beautiful and has a calming effect," he said.
In addition, the event will offer various goods and services for the home and garden, and patrons can register to win prizes such as a Vermont Castings stainless steel grill from Home Depot, an up to 400-square-foot Nature Stone floor, and a $1,000 Eastwood Mall shopping spree.
Lunch and dinner will be available at the Center Stage Grille inside the Expo Center.
Show hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $6 for adults; free to those 16 and younger, and $5 for senior citizens. For information, call (330) 799-3111.
