INDIANAPOLIS -- Youngstown State senior diver Kalyn Leveto was named the Horizon League women's swimming and diving athlete of the week.
Leveto won the 1-meter event and placed second in the 3-meter at the Youngstown State Diving Invitational. She finished with a score of 243.95 in the 1-meter and tallied an 11-dive score of 382.1 to place second in the 3-meter. The victory was Leveto's 24th of the year.
This marked the second time the Warren native won the honor this season.

*The Youngstown Jr. Phantoms bantam travel hockey team won its last two regular season games to end the season undefeated with a record of 15-0-1.
The Phantoms won their division for the first time.
On Saturday, the Phantoms defeated the Mentor Cardinals 5-3. Ryan Taylor had three goals, with Don Super and Jay Young each getting one. Brendan Sinchak, Jimmy Lacko, Super, Ryan Rinko and Adam Hogan all had one assist. Jared Pack had 21 saves.
On Sunday, the Phantoms beat Euclid 9-2. Taylor had three goals, while Steve Cornich and Rinko each had two, and Hogan and T.J. Lindquest one each. John Vanasdale and Hunter Thompson, each had two assists, while Lacko, Rinko, Taylor, Super, Devrim Olgan, and Adam Hogan all had one. Jonathan Welsh had 10 saves.
*BOARDMAN -- Jordan D'Atri scored two goals and had an assist as the Youngstown Stars Midget AA team blanked Elyria 10-0 at the Ice Zone.
Zack Shook added two goals, while Bobby Walla and Aaron Zarbock each scored a goal and had two assists.
Bill Burns and Jim Pasquine had three assists. Jeffy Hayat, Mike Paul, Tristan Lysowski and Tyler Souder each had a goal.
Harris DQ'd
CHICAGO -- Buckeye Elks southpaw Josh Harris, fighting in the USA Region 5 championships as a member of the Akron-Cleveland team, lost an opening bout disqualification to Jimmy Perez from the Chicago Athletic Club.
Fighting a cruiserweight four-rounder Harris dropped Perez with a left hook in round one and then, using a right to the body and left hook to the jaw, dropped Perez twice in the second round.
With Harris in command of the fight, leading 16 to 7 on all scorecards, the referee stopped the fight with 20 seconds remaining in the fourth round, disqualifying Harris for showboating.
Drahos named PAC player of the week
BETHANY, W.Va. -- For the second time this season, Matt Drahos was named Presidents' Athletic Conference player of the week.
The junior from Wheeling, W.Va. averaged 30.5 points and 16 rebounds in two games.
Thiel hall of fame
GREENVILLE, Pa. -- Thiel College will recognize its 2005 class of Athletic Hall of Fame honorees Saturday.
Pete Bistransin (class of '52), Jim Miale ('85), Diane Musick Meadows ('87), Sal Jafarace ('92) and the 1972 men's golf team will be inducted.

MLS teamsigns woman
ST. LOUIS -- The St. Louis Steamers signed Lindsay Kennedy to a five-game contract, and she is expected to become the Major Indoor Soccer League's first female player.
Kennedy, a forward, is set to make her debut Saturday when the Steamers host the Milwaukee Wave. The Steamers said three other women previously have played on men's professional indoor soccer teams in other leagues.
Steamers president and chief executive Michael Hetelson said the team liked Kennedy's skill and toughness.
Top-seed Roddick opens with a win
MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Top-seeded Andy Roddick, coming off a title in San Jose, defeating Hyung-Taik Lee 6-3, 6-4 in the opening round of the Regions Morgan Keegan Championships Tuesday.
Also, fourth-seeded Jiri Novak lost to Jan-Michael Gambill 6-0, 6-4; Vincent Spadea, the third seed, and Xavier Malisse, No. 5, won their matches in straight sets.
Spadea, ranked 21st, defeated Thomas Enqvist 7-5, 6-2, while Malisse won a pair of 6-3 sets over Philipp Kohlschreiber.
In the Cellular South Cup, the women's side of the tournament, top-seeded Vera Zvonareva advanced with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Michaela Pastikova. Zvonareva, the winner of last year's tournament, will face Severine Beltrame of France in the second round.
Also Tuesday, third-seeded Meghann Shaughnessy beat Laura Granville 6-3, 6-4.
Neuheisel disputes former AD's claim
KENT, Wash. -- Rick Neuheisel firmly disputed trial testimony by his University of Washington boss, who told jurors two weeks ago the football coach was warned in early 2003 that his lies couldn't be tolerated.
Neuheisel also insisted Tuesday, during his third full day on the stand in his King County Superior Court lawsuit against Washington and the NCAA, that then-athletic director Barbara Hedges knew he had spoken with the San Francisco 49ers in February 2003 about the team's head coaching job.
