AUSTINTOWN -- Police discovered several road signs in the township's south Wickliffe area damaged or missing early Sunday.
No parking, stop ahead and speed limit signs on Parkgate, Rosemont, Elmwood and Potomac avenues were either knocked down or missing.
Stop signs also had been damaged at the Potomac-Parkgate and Potomac-Rosemont intersections.
Police called the township road department that morning to replace the signs because of safety concerns.
USA Gas Mart ownerreports armed robbery
YOUNGSTOWN -- The owner of USA Gas Mart, 667 S. Meridian Road, told police he was robbed at gunpoint at 9:15 p.m. Sunday.
The owner said two men entered the business and one aimed a gun and demanded money while the other stood guard at the door.
The owner turned over a bank-deposit bag of money and the robbers fled out the front door to a car that had been parked alongside the building, reports show.
Felonious assault
WARREN -- A 23-year-old woman is in Trumbull County Jail, accused by city police of firing a shotgun during an argument.
Police said Amanda R. Tenney, 23, of 445 Belmont St. S.W., is charged with felonious assault.
Witnesses said she went outside Sunday and fired a shotgun in the direction of someone with whom she'd been fighting. A vehicle was struck.
Suspicious fire probed
AUSTINTOWN -- Police and firefighters are investigating a suspicious blaze that occurred over the weekend at an Idaho Road home.
When the daughter of the woman who lives at 108 Idaho dropped off her mother from a shopping trip about 8 p.m. Saturday, the women saw the front door ajar and lights on inside.
They called police, who chased a man described as having shoulder-length brown hair and wearing jeans and a football jacket, into the Westchester Executive Apartments.
The officers returned to get a police dog to track the man when they saw flames inside the home.
Manure seminar
CANFIELD -- The training seminar "Manure Management Issues, Challenges & amp; Solutions" will begin at 9 a.m. Feb. 25 at McMahon Hall, Mill Creek MetroParks.
The event is sponsored by Mahoning and Columbiana counties' Soil and Water Conservation Districts.
The goals of the seminar include helping minimize wintertime application of manure, developing practical and realistic application plans and promoting the use of cover crops.
Cost for this program is $5, which includes lunch and course materials; deadline for reservations is Friday.

YLMV donation
YOUNGSTOWN -- Time Warner Cable recently donated $10,000 to Youth Leadership Mahoning Valley.
This was the final installment of a five-year, $50,000 grant that was announced in 2000.
This money will allow YLMV to continue its mission to identify, develop and motivate potential leaders among our youths to address the challenges and celebrate the opportunities of the Mahoning Valley.
Youth Leadership Mahoning Valley, established in 1994 and patterned after Leadership Mahoning Valley, recruits 40 local high school sophomores each year. These students dedicate a day each month throughout the program to learn about aspects of the community.
