2 men charged with attempted murder



WARREN -- City police found a man shot several times in his Hamilton Street kitchen and quickly arrested two men nearby on charges of attempted murder.
Police said that Timothy Hodgkinson of 2717 Hamilton S.W. was taken to St. Joseph Health Center. The hospital said Monday that he was not admitted.
The shooting happened at about 1 a.m. Saturday. Hodgkinson was in the house when a known person entered and shot him, the report states.
Shortly afterward, Javaris Russell, 18, of Union Street Southwest, was stopped by police at Nevada Avenue and West Market Street for having no operators license and having an open container in the vehicle. He also is charged with attempted murder.
At Nevada and Hamilton, meanwhile, Michael McDonald, 20, of Lener Avenue Southwest, also was stopped for open container and charged with attempted murder.
The suspects are in the Trumbull County jail as the investigation continues.
