Ursuline High School sponsors Wake-A-Thon to benefit homeless

YOUNGSTOWN -- Ursuline High School will sponsor its 15th annual Wake-A-Thon for the homeless beginning at 7:30 a.m. March 5 and concluding at 6:30 a.m. March 6.
Co-sponsored by the Ursuline High School Home and School Association and the Ursuline High School Student Council, the event raises funds for the area homeless. Since its inception, the Wake-A-Thon has raised more than $165,000. All money raised is donated in equal portion to the Rescue Mission, the St. Vincent de Paul Society and Beatitude House, three local agencies that provide services to the homeless.
Students solicit contributions and, in return, agree to stay up throughout the night of March 5 during which time they participate in various planned, supervised activities. A snack bar of fresh fruit, munchies and soft drinks will be available to Wake-A-Thon participants throughout the event.
Anyone interested in contributing can make a donation to an Ursuline student, or donations may be mailed to Wake-A-Thon, Ursuline High School, 750 Wick Avenue, Youngstown, Ohio 44502-2892.
