MEDICAL
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- JoAnne McCliment has been appointed director of community relations for United Community Hospital. She will oversee the hospital's Volunteer and Senior Awareness programs and provide leadership for its marketing and communications efforts.
Before joining the hospital, McCliment was corporate director of public relations and marketing for Forum Health in Youngstown. She also has held the position of director of community relations for Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Retirement Services in Youngstown and worked several years as a freelance journalist, reporting on health and medical issues.
She holds a bachelor's degree and a graduate certificate in professional writing and editing as well as a master's in English from Youngstown State University. She is a part-time faculty member of YSU's marketing department.
She has two sons.
REAL ESTATE

BOARDMAN -- Nicole Smith, Gary Calabret and Brit Flack have joined the Coldwell Banker First Place.
Smith received her real estate training from Youngstown State University Metro College and Hondros College. Previously, she worked as an ophthalmic technician.
Calabret studied real estate at Youngstown State University and received the National Sales Excellence Award for being in the top 5 percent of the country and awards for listing and selling when he was employed at other area real estate companies. He received the Ohio Association of Realtors Multi-million dollar President's Club award for the last three years.
Flack, who was a flight attendant with Continental Airlines before joining the company, received her real estate training from Kent State University. She completed real estate licensing requirements last month.
INDUSTRY
GIRARD -- Valley Electrical Consolidated Inc. has hired a full-time field superintendent, Scott Lydic, and a full-time scheduler, James Bobby. Both have years of experience in the trade as journeymen wiremen.
BANKING
HERMITAGE -- First National Bank of Pennsylvania, a subsidiary of F.N.B. Corp., recently appointed Mark D'Andrea as vice president/manager of planning, reporting and analysis.
Before joining First National Bank, D'Andrea served with Bank One in Columbus for 15 years, where he held various positions, including national financial systems manager, finance manager supporting executives in the Colorado and Utah Retail markets, and vice president and senior finance manager for the corporate Internet group. Most recently, he was a financial systems consultant for Resources Global Professionals.
He earned a bachelor's degree in finance from Franklin University in Columbus. He lives in Vienna with his wife and three daughters.
