GARDEN CLUBS



MONDAY
XHitchcock Woods will meet for a program by the Boardman High School Speech Team. Jane Evans will serve as hostess with Carol Scharrer as co-hostess.
TUESDAY
XEast members will have a luncheon meeting at 11:30 a.m. at West Fork Steakhouse, 3850 Belmont Ave. There will be a raffle and a demonstration on a no-sew purse by Jenny DeFiore. Elizabeth Hynes will serve as hostess.
XMembers of Trailwood Gardeners will meet with residents at the Blackburn Home for an afternoon dessert and a piano and harmonica program by Linda and David Taylor of Poland. Co-hostesses are Mary Lou Volchko and Linda DeLost.
WEDNESDAY
XSt. Michael Garden Guild will meet at 7 p.m. at St. Michael Church in Canfield with Pat Martinec of Mahoning Valley Rose Society as speaker. Hostesses will be Linda Dercoli and Ann Sims.
THURSDAY
XA speaker's topic will be "Ladies of the Butler" when Coitsville meets at 6:30 p.m. with Helen Scharrer as hostess.
XMary Jane Gresock will be hostess and Bridgette Brumert, co-hostess, when Driftwood meets.
XKim Lewis of Green Team Recycling will have a potpourri night light program when Johnny Appleseed meets at 7:30 p.m. Jane Evans will serve as hostess with Jeannie Filmer as co-hostess. Harriet Deeds will be in charge of the door prize.
XMahoning Valley Rose Society will hold a regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the Davis Center at Fellows Riverside Gardens. The program will be a talk by Dr. Harry Copp of Backyard Beauty with Birds and Flowers. The business meeting will follow. The public is invited, and there is a nominal fee for nonmembers.
XTrumbull County Garden Forum will meet at 11:30 a.m. at Victorian Room, 327 Vienna Ave., Niles. Cost is $12, and the program will be on medicinal herbs and supplements.
XGarden club events are published Sundays. The deadline is noon Thursday.
