BOYS BASKETBALL ROUNDUP McDonald wins, finishes 11-1 in ICL play



The Blue Devils rout Lowelville, 66-42.
McDONALD -- James Beedle scored 21 points and Mark Macali added 20 for McDonald High School, which completed its championship season in the Inter-County League with a 66-42 win over Lowellville on Friday night.
Tyler Stanley added 13 points for the Blue Devils (17-2, 11-1), who led 29-18 at halftime.
Justin Smith scored 12 points for Lowellville (11-9, 6-6), while John Opincarne added 10.
Western Reserve 64, South Range 59
NORTH LIMA -- Joe Petro scored 17 points to lead Western Reserve in an ICL game.
Chris Truitt added 15 points and Dave Ferrando scored 14 for the Blue Devils (8-11, 6-6), who trailed 32-30 after three quarters but outscored South Range 34-27 over the final eight minutes.
Brian Crawford had 15 points for the Raiders (5-11, 2-9), while Dan Holloway and Josh Less added 12 each. Mike Leskosky had six rebounds for South Range and Less dished out five assists.
Mineral Ridge 70,Jackson-Milton 45
MINERAL RIDGE -- Bill Harris scored 16 points to lead Mineral Ridge in an ICL game.
Vance Kiersey added 12 points for the Rams (11-9, 7-5), who outscored Jackson-Milton 44-24 in the second half. Josh Garland finished with eight steals for Mineral Ridge.
Josh Rybak scored 18 points for the Bluejays (6-14, 2-10), while Mark Balent tossed in 15.
Sebring 70, Southern 41
SEBRING -- Joe James led four Sebring players in double figures as the Trojans completed an unbeaten season in the Tri-County League.
Matt Ferguson and Joe Amabeli added 14 points each for Sebring (18-1, 14-0), while Jesse James finished with 10. Sebring led 46-14 at halftime.
Josh Diaz had 11 points and eight rebounds to lead Southern (11-9, 7-7).
Columbiana 57, Lisbon 54
LISBON -- Columbiana outscored Lisbon 17-11 in the fourth quarter to win the TCL game.
Jared Patton had 13 points for the Clippers (12-7. 9-5), while Eric Bailey added 12 and Dave Jackson 10.
Lisbon (12-7, 8-6) was led by Tim McClester's 15 points. Corey Smith added 11 points and Dom DeFilippo had 11 rebounds.
Crestview 65, United 61
NEW WATERFORD -- Justin Smith scored 18 points for Crestview in a TCL game.
Jerry Einseidel added 17 points for the Rebels (5-15, 3-11), who led 29-17 at halftime. Jake Roelen scored 18 points for United (12-6, 9-5), and Aaron Rowley finished with 15.
