ASSOCIATIONS
XThe monthly meeting of O-My-O Chapter of American Business Women's Association will be a woman of the year event on Thursday at Soffo's beginning with dinner at 6:30 p.m. Menu choices are pork shops, salmon or chicken. ATHLETIC GROUPS
XGirard High School Athletic Boosters will meet at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the high school cafeteria.
XMcDonald Midget Football Association will meet at 7 p.m. Sunday in the senior citizens room at the post office building.
XMcDonald Sideliners meet every Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Blue Devil Room at the high school.
AUXILIARIES
XAuxiliary to Austintown American Legion Post 301 will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the post hall on Oakwood Avenue. Members are collecting canceled stamps and manufacturers coupons to benefit soldiers and their families.
XEagles Auxiliary 3298, Raccoon Road, Austintown, will hold a regular meeting on Tuesday.
XStruthers K. of C. Ladies will meet for a valentine casserole dinner at 6:30 p.m. Monday. Hostesses will be Eleanore Timko, Shirley Terranova and Kay Urdea.
XVFW Auxiliary 3538, Lowellville Road, Struthers, will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the post home. A social will follow.

XKent State University Mothers Club will meet at noon Wednesday at the MVR, 410 N. Walnut St., Youngstown, to honor past presidents and celebrate Founder's Day. XYoungstown Business and Professional Women will have an International Women's Day program at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 22 at Jorgine's, located on the second floor of the YWCA, 25 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown. For the program Lana Eisenbraun, curator of the Upton House in Warren, will portray Harriet Taylor Upton, Leanne Turner, director of the Mahoning Valley Women's History Project, will give a brief introduction to her project, and Anne McMahon will provide information on the International Global Charter and related activities. Cost is $15 per person and $5 for full-time students. XTrumbull County League of Women Voters, which celebrates its 85h anniversary on Monday, will hold a membership meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday at Panera Restaurant on Elm Road, Warren. Members will approve and prioritize the areas in which the league should be most active at the state level for 2005-2007.
LIBRARY FRIENDS
XFriends of the Boardman Library will meet at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the community room at the library. A social will be followed by a program at 10 by Dr. Lauren Schroeder, a retired professor of biological sciences, whose topic will be "The Mahoning River." Guests and new members are welcome.
