Relay for Life participants needed

CANFIELD -- The American Cancer Society is looking for cancer survivors to participate at its Relay For Life this spring and summer.
This year there are relays in every county in Ohio. Locally, there are 15 scheduled in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties.
The relay raises funds for the society's programs and puts the spotlight on all survivors. A variety of activities and entertainment are held at each relay, which normally lasts 24 hours.
Cancer survivors begin each relay by walking the opening lap.
Relays are planned in Austintown, Boardman, Campbell, Columbiana, Cortland, Crestview, Liberty, Lisbon, Lordstown, New Middletown, Niles, Salem, Sebring, Warren and at Youngstown State University.
Cancer survivors who are interested in participating at one or more of the relays may call the American Cancer Society at (888) ACS-OHIO (227-6446). The Web site address is www.cancer.org.
