Kershaw paces Liberty to 74-65 win



The Leopards pulled away in the fourth quarter with 23-14 run.
LIBERTY -- Edward Kershaw scored 26 points and John Humphrey added 10, leading Liberty High to a 74-65 victory over Champion in a boys Trumbull Athletic Conference game Tuesday.
Chris Harrison added eight rebounds and Donovan Fletcher had five assists for the Leopards (13-4, 10-1), who outscored Champion 23-14 in the fourth quarter. Liberty shot 58 percent (29-of-50) from the floor.
Jake Gross led the Golden Flashes (4-13, 1-10) with 15 points, while Mark Jackson had 14 points and 10 rebounds. Tyler Kish scored 11 points and Kevin Ramsey had 10. Ramsey, Gross and Jackson all had four assists.
Lakeview 65, Girard 34
CORTLAND -- Matt Pytlik led a balanced Lakeview scoring attack with 11 points.
Ed Mackiewitz and Mark Seeger added 10 points apiece for the Bulldogs (15-2, 10-1 TAC). Pytlik also pulled down 12 rebounds and Alex Koltsov had five rebounds.
Girard (4-13, 3-8) was led by Eric Stevens, who finished with nine points.
LaBrae 58, Hubbard 49
HUBBARD -- Jason Frederick scored 23 points for LaBrae.
Todd Rowan added 10 points for the Vikings (13-4, 8-3 TAC), who led 28-19 at halftime.
Hubbard (3-13, 2-9) was paced by Frankie Rosile (24 points) and Marc Kanetsky (10).
