Geneva wraps up playoff berth with victory



Conley, McDermott pace 85-83 victory over Notre Dame College.
SOUTH EUCLID -- Nate Conley had 16 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists to lead Geneva College to an 85-83 victory over Notre Dame College in an American Mideast Conference North game Tuesday night.
The victory locked up a playoff spot for the Golden Tornadoes (16-9, 6-4), who were led in scoring by Kyle McDermott's 19 points. McDermott also grabbed eight rebounds and Stefan Grundberg added 17 points.
Dave Hilborn led Notre Dame (11-5, 3-8) with 26 points and seven rebounds.
Women
FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Allegheny College sank eight 3-pointers in a 61-52 win over SUNY-Fredonia.
Katie Kestler led the Gators (17-5) with 12 points, all coming on 3s. Valery Medwid and Courtney Steding added 11 points each, while Meghan Vasilisin had seven rebounds to lead Allegheny. Meredith McDonough scored six points and needs five more to reach 1,000 for her career.
Amanda Neamon had 14 points and 15 rebounds to lead Fredonia (11-9).
Notre Dame 71, Geneva 62
SOUTH EUCLID -- Geneva turned the ball over 26 times in its AMC North loss.
Jen Rawding led the Golden Tornadoes (11-12, 6-7) with 17 points, while Allyson Clarke added 11 points and 11 rebounds. Ali Cananzi also scored 11 points and made three 3-pointers.
Tamika Watkins led Notre Dame (22-6, 9-5) with 22 points and 14 rebounds.
