GIRLS BASKETBALL Girard just one game from unbeaten regular season
Murray scored 21 to lead Girard, which improved to 19-0 this season.
HUBBARD -- Cachet Murray had 21 points to lead Girard High to a 67-31 victory over Hubbard in a Trumbull Athletic Conference girls basketball game on Monday night.
Lora Dorna added 11 for Girard (19-0, 13-0 TAC), which will play host to Newton Falls on Thursday for a chance to finish the regular season with an unbeaten record.
Callie Oyler led Hubbard (5-13, 4-9) with 12 points.
Brookfield 49, Liberty 30
BROOKFIELD -- Jacki Rust scored 17 points and pulled in 10 rebounds to lead Brookfield in a TAC game.
Raquel Brenner added 11 points and three assists for the Warriors (14-5, 10-3 TAC), while Morgan Bonekovic had 10 points and three assists.
Michelle Dykes scored 12 points and Katarina Nescovich added 10 for Liberty (6-13, 2-11).
Newton Falls 50, LaBrae 35
LEAVITTSBURG -- Lindsey Calland scored 16 points and Molly Lenarcic added 10 for Newton Falls.
Newton Falls (4-15, 3-10 TAC) led 24-12 at halftime.
Angelica Pugh scored 10 points to lead LaBrae (7-12, 2-11), while Maddie D'Orio scored nine.
Mathews 64, Badger 41
KINSMAN -- Tara Ford tossed in 21 points to lead Mathews in a Northeastern Athletic Conference game.
Sophie Paddock added 13 points for the Mustangs (17-2, 11-2 NAC), who led 28-13 at halftime.
Samantha Bonar scored 10 points for Badger (8-11, 6-7), while Nikki Likens scored 10.
Sharon 62, Reynolds 38
GREENVILLE -- Brittany Csatlos scored 22 points to lead Sharon.
Csatlos also had seven rebounds, six assists and five steals for the Tigers (18-4). Cara Tolci added 16 points for Sharon.
Reynolds was led by Shanai Smith and Janet Ringer, who scored 12 points each. Erin Christinan had six rebounds for the Raiders.
