CANFIELD
Dec. 16
Theft: A Blueberry Hill resident told police his bank contacted him and said someone attempted to withdraw significant amounts of funds from his bank account, which was subsequently frozen. Bank officials advised him to contact police to initiate a criminal investigation because the amounts were significant.
Dec. 19
Theft: A $27.98 holiday bag of shrimp was taken from Giant Eagle, and police arrested a 16-year-old Austintown girl and a 19-year-old Campbell man. The man is charged with theft and the juvenile charged with criminal trespassing and being a delinquent child by way of theft. She was released to her mother. The man was taken to county jail. The pair had hidden the shrimp under their clothing.
Dec. 20
Breaking and entering: An overnight break-in was reported at Range One, 580 W. Main St. Stolen from the upstairs office were two shotguns and other guns.
Dec. 21
Theft: An auto parked in the parking lot at the Mahoning County Joint Vocational School, North Palmyra Road, was broken into and several items of sound equipment stolen that was valued at $980.

Dec. 19
Obstruction: Police charged a Youngstown woman with obstructing official business for giving a false name at Mahoning Avenue and Raccoon Road.
Theft: A window air conditioner was stolen from a home in the 100 block of South Meridian Road.
Criminal damaging: A motorcycle was damaged at a home in the 400 block of Kirk Road.Breaking and entering: The Roadhouse, 920 N. Canfield-Niles Road, was broken into and the money box taken.
Breaking and entering: A 20-ton jack was taken after a forced entry into a home in the 5000 block of Norquest Boulevard.
Theft: Yard decorations were stolen from a residence in the 1000 block of Bexley Drive.
Criminal damaging: A glass door was damaged at Racks III, 4213 Mahoning Ave.
Recovered property: Tools were recovered from the roadway in the 6000 block of Mahoning Avenue.
Theft: Yard decorations were stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Alderwood Drive.
Dec. 20
Criminal damaging: A rock was thrown through the front display window at Komara Jewelers, 3649 Canfield Road.
Theft: Police arrested a man for a theft at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A stereo, speakers and a tool box were stolen from a vehicle parked at a home in the 100 block of Laurie Drive.
Theft: A 4-foot-tall plastic Santa was stolen from a residence in the 4000 block of Timberbrook Drive.

Criminal trespass: A woman was arrested for trespassing at the TA Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive, and posted bond at the Austintown Police Department.
Theft: A Christmas ornament was stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Starwick Drive.
Drug offense: Police charged a Youngstown man with possession of marijuana at Raccoon and New roads.
Drug offense: Police arrested a Canfield man on suspected drug charges in the 4800 block of Mahoning Avenue.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged at a home in the 20 block of North Yorkshire Boulevard.
Drug offense: Police arrested a Niles man on a charge of drug abuse in the 6000 block of Mahoning Avenue.
Dec. 23
Breaking and entering: A Dell computer was taken from Hanna Cleaning Inc., 5204 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Police charged a woman with theft. She was arrested at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.
Criminal damaging: Two pop machines were damaged at the Hampton Inn, 880 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Criminal trespass: A woman was arrested for criminal trespassing at Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Drug offense: Police charged a Columbiana man with possession of marijuana in the 5200 block of Mahoning Avenue.
Drug offense: Police charged a Niles woman with drug abuse of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was arrested in the 500 block of Mahoning Avenue.

Burglary: A 1997 yellow and black Suzuki dirt bike was stolen from a home in the 700 block of Carlin Drive.
Theft: A television, CD player and sub woofer were stolen from a vehicle in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Drive.
Criminal damaging: A glass window was hit by a pellet gun at Fire Station No. 4, 1690 S. Turner Road.
Theft: A package of miscellaneous Christmas gifts was stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Ayrshire Drive.

Burglary: A burglary was reported at a home in the 40 block of Kenmore Court.
Theft: Money was reported stolen from a purse at a home in the 300 block of North Turner Road.
Criminal damaging: A window was damaged by a pellet gun at a home in the 600 block of Notre Dame Drive.
