NHL ROUNDUP Thursday's other games

Flyers 4, Hurricanes 3
RALEIGH, N.C. -- Sami Kapanen scored in overtime for the second straight game after NHL goal leader Simon Gagne tied it midway through the third period. About 90 seconds into the extra period, Kapanen had a shot blocked by Niclas Wallin, then eluded his defender to corral the rebound and put it past goalie Cam Ward to give the Flyers their sixth straight victory on the road. Kapanen needed only 13 seconds a night earlier in Atlanta to beat the Thrashers.
Maple Leafs 4, Sabres 3, SO
TORONTO -- Alexei Ponikarovsky scored in regulation and again in a shootout to help the Maple Leafs win their fourth straight game. Mats Sundin also beat Martin Biron in the shootout, and Ponikarovsky gave Toronto the victory after Buffalo's Ales Kotalik and Thomas Vanek failed against Ed Belfour.
Stars 3, Blues 0
DALLAS -- Marty Turco made 16 saves for his third shutout of the season and 24th of his career and Dallas' slumping power play scored three goals. Bill Guerin, Sergei Zubov and Jere Lehtinen had man-advantage goals for the Stars, who had converted only four of their previous 42 power-play chances. Dallas' penalty-killing unit also was effective, blanking St. Louis on six chances.
