Man gets sentenced for 2004 burglary

MERCER, Pa. -- A Grove City man will serve 10 months to four years in prison for felony burglary and receiving stolen property, a misdemeanor.
David Norcross Jr., 22, of North Liberty Street also was ordered to make restitution and was declared eligible for boot camp by Mercer County Common Pleas Court Judge Christopher St. John.
According to court documents, in October or November 2004, Norcross burglarized a building on Clintonville Road, Findley Township, and took a space heater and a pneumatic impact wrench valued at a total $175. Around the same time, he also took a truck hood and carburetor from a vehicle on Canal Street, Greenville.
Others sentenced Thursday were:
UWilliam Boles, 32, of Crestview Drive, Sharpsville, two years' probation for simple assault, a misdemeanor. On May 12, he punched a woman in the face several times, breaking her nose and inflicting cuts and bruises. He also would not let the woman use the phone or leave the residence on Logan Avenue, Sharon, Pa., where the assault took place.
UMagdalene Bucciarelli, 20, of Mercer-West Middlesex Road, West Middlesex, two years' probation plus restitution for a misdemeanor bad checks charge. In November 2004, she issued two checks, one for $1,000 and one for $1,500, knowing they would not be honored.
UGerald Detelich, 35, of Sharpsville Avenue, Sharon, 207 days to two years for simple assault and retail theft, both misdemeanors. On June 6, he stole three packages of batteries valued at $29. When the store manager tried to stop him, Detelich punched him in the face.
UWesley Gill Jr., 52, of West Ridge Avenue, Sharpsville, one to three years in prison for escape, a felony. On March 8, he failed to return to the Mercer County Jail where he was serving a sentence for defiant trespass and driving during suspension.
UJudith Grubbs, 54, of Mount Avery, Ga., two years' probation for felony retail theft. On June 22, she stole six packs of cigarettes valued at $20 from the County Market, 49 Pine Grove Square Plaza, Pine Township. She was also ordered to stay out of the store.
UBrian Matvey, 32, of Crawford Drive, Hermitage, was sentenced to six to 23 months in prison followed by two years' probation for felony escape. On June 23, he failed to return to the Mercer County Jail where he was serving a sentence for retail theft and theft by unlawful taking.
