Boyages takes on new role

CLEVELAND (AP) -- Former Ohio State assistant coach Rick Boyages was hired Thursday as an associate commissioner in charge of men's basketball operations for the Mid-American Conference. With the MAC, Boyages will oversee men's basketball scheduling, game management, television, marketing and promotions. He also will serve as a liaison with the MAC coordinator of officials.
