Oakland will return to 'Greater Tuna'

Oakland will returnto 'Greater Tuna'
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Oakland Center for the Arts will present "Greater Tuna," by Joe Sears, Jaston Williams and Ed Howard on Jan. 27 and 28, and Feb. 3, 4, 10 and 11. All shows are at 8 p.m.
"Greater Tuna" is the hilarious comedy about Texas' third smallest town. The eclectic band of citizens that make up this town are portrayed by only two performers, making this satire on life in rural America even more delightful as they depict all of the inhabitants of Tuna -- men, women, children and animals.
Michael Morley and Ed Smith are the two performers who will accomplish this marvel of quick costume changes. The two veteran actors have appeared in "Greater Tuna" twice before: the first time 20 years ago, and again 10 years ago.
Paul Kimpel and Joanne Carney Smith are sharing the duties of directing. Together with Morley and Smith, these four have worked on all of the previously mentioned "Greater Tuna" productions.
