Hepfner takes magistrate spot



YOUNGSTOWN -- Atty. Don Hepfner will be sworn in at 10 a.m. Tuesday as a full-time magistrate in Mahoning County Domestic Relations Court.
The ceremony will be in the courtroom of Domestic Relations Judge Beth A. Smith, on the fourth floor of the county courthouse.
Atty. Hepfner succeeds Atty. Dennis Sarisky, who has rejoined the Mahoning County Prosecutor's Office.
Hepfner has more than 16 years of legal experience, especially in family law. He has practiced in domestic relations and juvenile courts in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties.
He is a 1984 graduate of Youngstown State University, where he earned bachelor's degrees in history and economics, and a 1988 graduate of University of Akron, from which he received his law degree. After he was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1989, he maintained an independent private practice in association with the Anzelloti, Sperling, Pazol and Small law firm.
Hepfner is a member of Ohio State Bar Association; bar associations in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties; Victory Christian School board; and Salem Community Fellowship Church. He and his wife, Elizabeth, have two children.
With Hepfner on board, Domestic Relations Court will have three full-time magistrates and one part-time magistrate.
