Married: Edward Shoaf, who died in 1965. Married Charles Mitchell in 1972, and they lived in Fort Pierce, Fla., for 18 years before he died in 2000.
Family: A son, William Shoaf of Youngstown, and three stepchildren. Margaret Williams, Charles Mitchell and Robert Mitchell. One stepson, Dick Mitchell, is deceased. She has 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Background: Her great-great-great-great grandfather was one of the first settlers in Youngstown, coming from Virginia in 1804.
Occupation: Was a seamstress for eight years at North Side Hospital.
Memberships: She is a member of Austintown Community Church.
Hobbies: Traveling, crafting and playing cards with friends. She has earned the reputation of being a great cook.
Celebrations: She was honored Friday at a luncheon given by the staff and residents at Omni West Assisted Living, 3259 Vestal Road, Youngstown, where she has been a resident since March 1, 1999. Another party is being held there today by her family.
