Faith, faces of Christmas
Good Hope Lutheran Church in Boardman was just one of many Valley houses of worship to celebrate the holiday with a Christmas Eve service Saturday. The centerpiece for the service was a musical performance of "One Small Child," which, perhaps as planned, intrigued several small children. Among there were, top, Julia Basista, 7, who was held by her aunt, Karla Hoffman, both of Boardman; and Alexis Sharp, above, left, 18 months, who was held by her dad, David Sharp of Canfield. Susan Wessner of Liberty, top left, an associate of ministry at the church, gave it her all during the performance. The church will have its Christmas service today at 10.
