NEOUCOM receives grant

ROOTSTOWN --Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine has received a $1.5 million grant from The Wish, Cope and Life Foundation, a component charitable trust of Stark Community Foundation.
This grant was made possible by a gift from Dr. William G. Wasson of Canton, who established the foundation before his death in September 2002.
The money may be used to enhance academic programs, support faculty endeavors, purchase new equipment or meet any other need that fosters excellence at the college of medicine, said Dr. Lois Margaret Nora, medical school president and dean.
In recognition of the gift, school's Center for Studies of Clinical Performance has been renamed the William G. Wasson, M.D., Center for Clinical Skills Training, Assessment and Scholarship.
