Lawrence officials pick representative

NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- The Lawrence County Commissioners have appointed Commissioner Ed Fosnaught as the commissioner representative to the Lawrence County Conservation District Advisory Board for next year.
Commissioners, at their weekly public meeting, also appointed Sue Ascione of the Children's Advocacy Center to the Mental Health/Mental Retardation Advisory Board for a term running Jan. 1, 2006, to Dec. 31, 2008. Also, the Rev. Dennis Bupp, Mike Krol and Rose Mary Rennard were reappointed to the same board with their terms also running Jan. 1, 2006, to Dec. 31, 2008.
The commissioners also adopted a proclamation recognizing the New Castle Area Honor Guard for its service to area veterans and the community.
