A summary of reported criminal activity in Boardman Township:
Dec. 14
Possible theft: A dealer plate was lost or stolen from Preston Hyundai, 260 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: A customer stole clothing from Dillard's in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft by deception: A man in the 4100 block of Shelby Road told police someone tried to subject him to a phone scam.
Theft: Police arrested a 54-year-old Poland man on a theft charge after another man reported two benches stolen from the former Bull & amp; Bear Tavern site, 1247 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: Officers apprehended a 22-year-old Portersville, Pa., man and charged him with theft and possession of criminal tools. He was accused of stealing tools from Sears in the Southern Park Mall and of being in possession of a pair of wire cutters for criminal purposes.
Attempted breaking and entering: While responding to an alarm at Paul's Tires and Smoke Shop, 4852 Southern Blvd., police arrested a Campbell man, 53, on charges of breaking and entering and possession of criminal tools. Officers say he confessed trying to break into the business.
Attempted auto theft: A man in the 7000 block of West Boulevard said he found a vehicle in a nearby parking lot with a broken window and its steering column damaged.
Drugs: Police cited a 27-year-old Youngstown man on a charge of possession of drugs (marijuana).
Arrest: Police took a 48-year-old Struthers man into custody on a felony count of operating a vehicle under the influence after saying he had a blood alcohol count of 0.314. Misdemeanor charges of driving under suspension and having fictitious license plates also were filed.
Dec. 15
Forgery: A man in the 7200 block of Glenwood Avenue discovered a forged doctor's signature on a slip.
Theft: A worker at Assurance Land Title Inc., 821 Kentwood Drive, noticed three unauthorized debit transactions had been made.
Misuse of a check card: A Youngstown woman discovered her debit check card was misused at Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.
Theft: Someone took scrap steel from Amtech Tool & amp; Machine, 100 McClurg Road.
Arrest: Police picked up a 33-year-old Canfield woman in the 200 block of Meadowbrook Avenue on a warrant charging her with failure to appear. She also was charged with possession of criminal tools.
Theft: A student at Boardman High School, 7777 Glenwood Ave., reported his wallet stolen from a locker.
Truck theft: A man in the 7300 block of Sierra Madre Trail reported his pickup truck stolen, as well as an All-Terrain Vehicle that was in the truck's bed.
Drugs: Boardman police arrested a Youngstown man, 39, on a felony count of drug abuse as well as on misdemeanor charges of obstructing official business, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Arrest: Police arrested a Boardman woman, 40. She was charged with one count of obstructing official business.
Dec. 16
Criminal mischief: A woman in the 300 block of Erskine Avenue called police after someone in an ATV drove across her lawn.
Theft: A Boardman man reported the theft of his credit card while at a Shell station, 998 E. Western Reserve Road.
Theft: A Youngstown woman reported her purse stolen while she shopped at Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive.
Drugs: An 18-year-old Boardman man was taken into custody at the Days Inn, 8392 Market St., and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Theft: A woman discovered her purse had been stolen from her car at Calvary Assembly of God, 7580 Glenwood Ave., and that a credit card was misused at various businesses.
Theft: An employee at Kaufmann's in the Southern Park Mall noticed a wallet was removed from her purse while she was at work.
Arrest: Boardman police picked up a 43-year-old Youngstown man wanted on a warrant from Lake County, Ohio, charging him with two counts of theft.
Theft: A 19-year-old North Lima man was arrested on Tippecanoe Road on a theft charge.
Arrest: Police apprehended a Youngstown man, 22, near Midlothian Boulevard and Shady Run Road. He was wanted on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court on a charge of passing bad checks.
Dec. 17
Attempted burglary: A man came home and found that someone had tried to break into his residence in the 200 block of Overhill Avenue.
Auto theft: A vehicle was stolen from the Acura dealership, 883 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Theft: A Boardman man reported his cellular phone stolen while at Jillian's in the Southern Park Mall.
Robbery: An employee at Sally Beauty Supply, 4300 Market St., told police two people, one with a firearm, took an undisclosed amount of money from a register.
Theft: Some customers left the Grand Buffet, 7690 Market St., without paying for their meals.
Robbery: A Boardman woman reported her purse taken as she walked across a parking lot in the 4900 block of Brookwood Road.
Dec. 18
Theft: Police arrested a 50-year-old Youngstown man on a theft charge after he was accused of taking a cordless phone from Family Dollar, 4030 Market St. He also faced a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia after officers say he had a suspected crack pipe in his pocket.
Bad check: A worker at Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive, reported a customer presented a counterfeit check to be cashed.
Burglary: Someone broke into an apartment in the 500 block of Boardman-Canfield Road. It was undetermined if anything was stolen.
