CANFIELD
Dec. 12
Theft: A 47-year-old Salem man was arrested for stealing cigarettes at Giant Eagle, 525 E. Main St. He selected four packs from the rack and paid for one while concealing three packs.
Dec. 13
Robbery: An office employee said she was robbed at gunpoint of $55 from the cash drawer by a white male at El Patio Motel, 485 W. Main St., and $70 in cash was at the scene of the robbery, dropped by the unknown suspect.
Request: Boardman police asked for help with the Canfield police K-9 officer to try to track an armed robber who held up a Speedway gas station with a handgun and fled in a northerly direction. The dog detected tracks but no suspect was found.

Fraud: A 400 block of Shadydale Drive couple reported they sold an item over the Internet and mailed it to the customer but received a fraudulent check back.
Disorderly conduct arrest: A 16-year-old Poland male as arrested after reports of several incidents of threats and threatening to beat each other up of three Struthers students at the Mahoning County Career & amp; Technical Center. One student, who made the most recent threat to beat someone up, was being held in the principal's office. While being talked to by the officer, the student remained argumentative and was placed under arrest.

Dec. 12
Fraud: An account at the Associated School Employees Credit Union, 1690 S. Canfield-Niles Road was accessed and $1,050 was removed.
Attempted theft: A washing-machine coin box was broken into at the apartments in the 4200 block of Pembrook Apartments.
Theft: The coin boxes on laundry machines were broken into at an apartment in the 80 block of North Raccoon Road.
Theft: Laundry machine coin boxes were broken into at Four Seasons Apartments, 4222 New Road.
Arrest: Police arrested a woman for trespassing and at the BP gas station, 890 N. Niles-Canfield Road. She also passed suspected counterfeit money.

Theft: A television set and bedspread were stolen from Austintown Inn, 5431 Seventy-Six Drive.
Tampering with coin machines: Washer and dryer coin boxes were damaged at an apartment building in the 1800 block of Paisley Street.
Possible theft: A coin-operated machine as tampered with and an undetermined amount of money taken at Austintown Inn, 5431 Seventy-Six Drive.

Theft: Washing machines were broken into at Compass West apartments.
Breaking and entering of business: A cash box and camera were taken from Pence Truck Rental, 350 Victoria Road.
Theft: A Hunter thermostat was stolen by an employee at Handyman Hardware, 4351 Kirk Road.

Theft: Money from laundry machines was stolen from apartments in the 60 block of Westminster Avenue.
Theft: Money was taken from laundry machine at Central Park West, in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.
Suspicious mail: A possible fraud was reported in suspicious mail received at a home in the 1000 block of Yolanda Place.
Theft: A nylon case with games was stolen from a residence at Aspen Drive at Birchwood Drive.
Theft: A yard decoration of a 3-foot penguin with lights was stolen from a home in the 300 block of South Inglewood Avenue.
Aggravated menacing: Phone threats were made at a residence in the 1000 block of Cedarwood Drive.
Criminal damage: A window was broken at the same address in the 1000 block of Cedarwood Drive.

Theft: Police charged two Youngstown men with theft from autos at three homes in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Drive and the 4000 block of Washington Square.
Theft: A wallet and cash were stolen from a woman at an apartment in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Drive.
Theft: A Pioneer compact disc stereo was stolen from a vehicle in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.
Theft: A Sony CD stereo, speakers and an amplifier were stolen from a vehicle at a home in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Drive.
Theft: Hair dryers were taken from Kaleidoscope, 3933 Mahoning Ave.
Counterfeit money: A suspected $20 counterfeit bill was passed at Get-Go, 5163 Mahoning Ave.
Drug offense: Police charged a Youngstown man with possession of cocaine, drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia in the 1000 block of North Meridian Road.
Theft: A cell phone and miscellaneous change were stolen from a vehicle at an apartment in the 60 block of Westminister Avenue.

Criminal trespass: Police charged a man with criminal trespass at a home in the 600 block of South Raccoon Road.
Theft: Two bicycles, a Pacific and a Roadrunner were stolen from a home in the 700 block of Notre Dame Drive.
Theft: A 2000 Suzuki King Quad was stolen by drivers of a maroon van at a home in the 3000 block of Riblett Avenue.
Criminal damage: A lawn was damaged at a home in the 6000 block of Silica Road.
Tampering: Coin machines were tampered with on a laundry machine that was pried open and an undetermined amount of change was taken at the apartments in the 4200 block of Pembrook Road.
Theft: A woman's wallet was reported stolen in a theft at a home in the 6000 block of Harvest Ridge Drive.
Dec. 18
Breaking and entering: A garage was entered and stereo equipment for an auto was stolen from an apartment in the 4000 block of Washington Square Drive.
Burglary: Entry was gained through a sliding-glass door of an apartment in the 4000 block of Washington Square Drive and various items were taken.
Theft: Christmas decorations were stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Burkey Road.
