2 men accused in robbery are arraigned

YOUNGSTOWN -- One of the men accused of taking part in the weekend robbery of Fast Fuel on Youngstown-Poland Road failed to register as a sex offender, an assistant city prosecutor says.
Dashawnok L. Hayden, 29, of Fifth Avenue, and Kendall Johnson, 38, of East Midlothian Boulevard were arraigned Monday in municipal court.
Judge Elizabeth A. Kobly set Hayden's bond at $255,000 and Johnson's bond at $105,000. Both will be back in court Dec. 27 for a preliminary hearing.
Dana C. Guarnieriok, an assistant city prosecutor, told the judge that Hayden's record includes failure to register as a sex offender. She said the crime occurred in Las Vegas.
Hayden faces charges of complicity to robbery, receiving stolen property, fleeing and eluding and driving under suspension. Johnson faces charges of robbery and obstructing official business.
Hayden and Johnson were captured Saturday morning after a police chase. The car they were in had been reported stolen, police said. Employees at the Fast Fuel identified Johnson as the robber, police said.
