Best Bets on TV Tonight

"Deal or No Deal" (8 p.m., Fox): "No tricky questions, no crazy stunts -- just answer the question: Deal or no deal?" That, summarized by host Howie Mandel, is the premise for a new quiz show rolling out on NBC for five nights: Monday through Friday at 8 p.m. If you like money or the sight of 25 comely models toting sealed briefcases, you might be hooked by this game of odds and chance. Without knowing the amount in each briefcase (ranging from $1 million to a penny), the contestant picks one of the 26 briefcases as his own, then risks that unknown amount against the money contained in any of the other remaining 25 cases as each sum is revealed. All the while, he has the option to bail out of this guessing game and sell his briefcase to "The Bank." Sound complicated? It isn't. This family-friendly game should tap into the sport and greed in viewers of all ages.
"Arrested Development" (8 p.m., Fox): This hilarious but underloved sitcom offers a fresh episode in which Lucille's biannual face-lift inspires a fresh idea for a horror movie.
